Mangii Ferra - Intalian Indulgence
“Everything you see I owe to Pasta”
Well, if that’s what Italian cuisine can do then it’s worth it.
Italian food is popular with many, the taste and indulgence of pizzas and pastas are always to die for. But did you know, that this magical cuisine entered India in 1978 in Delhi Taj? Since then with globalization of the food market, Italian cuisine has grown beyond the conventional dishes and evolved into favorite for many food lovers across India.
Before discussing further, I must confess that I am not a food critic and my views are based on my taste buds and visible presentation aesthetics. Recently I had the opportunity to be a part of a restaurant launch event, and in this narrative, I will share my experience with the fine diner.
“Mangii Ferra” has returned to Juhu and I was privileged to be a part of the media launch event. For people who want to experience some culinary indulgence with Italian delicacies, the place is ideal for you (address at the end of the post).
The event was arranged on 16th July 2019, for a selected guest list including media personnel, bloggers and food critics. The menu is elaborate, and the space is snug, classy and comfortable. I loved the decor, with those lamps, paintings and the bar corner.
Prashant Chaudhri, who is the co-owner of the place personally interacted with each guest and made the ambiance interactive and personal.
While my husband enjoyed his scotch, I tried a cranberry mocktail which was nice. However, my second indulgent mocktail, which the bartender especially made with less or no sugar, was a raw mango drink, which I absolutely adored.
The smile confirms which drink I enjoyed more
As suggested by the chef, we started with ‘Avocado and prawn salad’ and I would advocate the same to anyone who visits Mangii Ferra. The next was a platter of grilled chicken which was nice. However, Pizza stole the show for us, the aptly cooked chicken, the smooth thin bread and sauces just in the right proportion, made eating a savory experience. Since I was on a diet, although I kind of cheated that day, as the food was irresistible, but I didn’t dig into the deserts. But my husband did. He had mouthful of Tiramisu and Sticky Toffee Pudding and enjoyed both.

Mangii Ferra is undoubtedly one of the coolest Italian food serving restaurants in town, thanks Ashyma for having us . I suggest it to all my friends, for that candle lit romantic dinner.
