Teaming formal with casual
We all have common set of friends and relatives, so going out each time puts us in a soup of thoughts "what to wear?" This very notion forced me to start my new blog page on 'Fashion", where balancing with my regular demanding office engagements and writing, I will try to put my thoughts on fashion and easy ways to play dressy.
Well, to start with, I am a bong and my dressing sense is highly influenced with my Bengali Origin. I am not too much into glitter and glitz. I am more attracted towards subtleness, with refreshing intervening of sheen.
The look that I will decrypt today, is the one shown in the photograph above.
Dress details: I wanted to experiment teaming formals with casual, hence I picked up my regular Zara formal trouser, tucked in a black slip and put on an oversized Global Desi front open Kurti, which I used as a shrug. I love the basic colours of the entire dress put together. And to add that little glamour, I wore a statement neckpiece. Keeping the comfort quotient intact, I wore AllenSolly Loafers.
Face details: Keeping up with the summer vibes, I have opted for a fresh face of ‘NO MAKE-UP’. Jokes apart, I avoid using make-up unless absolutely necessary. But you can always go for subtle make-up if you want. I used a Johnson baby lotion on my skin. Put little Sephora ‘Sweet on You’ blush on, Maybelline ‘Almond pink’ nude lipstick and Mac Mascara, and that’s it, I am good to go for a family dinner, and yes since I have long traces, I tied a loose bun for comfort.
